Noevir uses natural bases in the skin care lines, which are
natural to the composition of your skin.
Squalane is used in place of mineral oil. Squalane smooths the
skin and prevents moisture from escaping without suffocating the skin. Stearic
acid softens the skin and prevents inflammation. Beeswax is similar to the wax
found in human sebum and it softens the skin and prevents inflammation. Jojoba
oil is an excellent moisturizer and healing agent and is similar to the oil
secreted by your skin. HS Lipids are fatty acids which are derived from soybeans
and refined glycerin.
Along with these natural bases, we use herbal extracts from the
Black Forest of Germany which give our products their own unique fragrance as
opposed to artificial fragrances found in many cosmetics in department stores.
Even though our products are manufactured under the most sterile
conditions, each time a container is opened or a finger is used to remove the
product, bacteria will enter and continue to grow. It is for this reason,
preservatives are so important.
The addition of preservatives ensure that cosmetics can withstand
shelf time and the exposure of bacteria in the environment without becoming
moldy or rancid.
Noevir uses as preservatives such ingredients as: methylparaben,
propylparaben and butylparaben. These ingredients are all derived from benzoic
acid found in berries and are highly effective in fighting off a wide range of
bacteria and fungi. They are non-toxic and approved for food use.
