You've probably heard a lot of conflicting opinions
about using skin care products from the same line. While this can be
a problem, sometimes it is not as serious as what you may have
heard.
Following an organized program can simplify your life
and reduce problems. By mixing different lines, you might end up
with too many skin-irritating ingredients. Alpha hydroxy acids, for
instance, can be tough on the skin. A system that has already taken
that into account means you don't have to think about it.
But, if you choose not to use a single systematic
approach it is generally okay and safe to mix and match brands, as
long as your skin doesn't rebel on you. Your skin will let you know
pretty quickly if you are mixing ingredients that are irritating.
Make the necessary adjustments. The damage is probably not
permanent, if you watch for signs of irritation and adjust quickly.
