Unwinding in a fragrant bath is no longer a luxury
you need to feel guilty about indulging in...it may actually help
benefit your health!
Aromatherapy may be one of the latest buzz words in
the beauty business, but this time-honored practice has actually
been around for thousands of years.
Hippocrates, considered by many to be the father of
modern medicine, used aromatherapy extensively in his methods of
healing, and there is evidence of even earlier aromatherapy use by
other ancient cultures.
The process of smell has the unique and powerful
ability to immediately penetrate into the deepest part of the brain.
It is thought that through aromatherapy, the hypothalamus and
pituitary glands are chemically stimulated which helps to regulate
bodily functions and the balance within the body.
Today, this alternative approach to wellness has
become not only widely accepted but also widely used in a variety of
cosmetic and health related products.
In keeping with our "natural-to-the-skin" philosophy,
Noevir incorporates aspects of aromatherapy into many of our
products.
TUB TIPS:
Tip #1: Limit your soaks to a maximum of 30 minutes
and watch the temperature! Lingering too long in hot water actually
drains your skin of its natural oils and saps you of energy.
Tip #2: After your bath, gently pat yourself dry
instead of vigorously rubbing your skin. This will help reduce
friction and irritation to freshly bathed skin.
Tip #3: Follow with neck to toe hydration of Herbal
Body Lotion, gently scented with marine undertones, and finish with
a light spritz of refreshing Moisture Veil.
