Q: I work, take care of children and
a husband, chauffeur, do volunteer work, garden, cook, clean, balance the
checkbook. I have little or no time for me. What do you recommend?
A: Stress can
send your skin into the ozone. Your heart pounds, adrenaline speeds through your
veins, you sweat, and the body releases many hormones, including male hormones
called androgens. Androgens increase oil production in the sebaceous (oil)
glands. Usually the oil travels up the hair follicle and escapes from the
pore - no big deal. But, if dead skin cells are cluttering the surface (and they
probably are because you were too strung out to bother exfoliating), oil becomes
trapped. The oil mixes with fatty acids and skin bacteria from sweat, causing
flare-ups. The more stressed you get, the more oil and sweat you produce, and
the more likely it is your skin will act up. Since a pimple can remain dormant
for a week or more, you might not even break out until after the stress has
passed.
Make sure that you follow your
skincare regimen during these times. Now is not the time to go to bed with
makeup on. Enjoy the excellence of Noevir's skincare lines, whichever one you
enjoy. Make sure you are exercising. A walk is a great stress buster. Soak in
Noevir
Herbal Bath Salts to ease tired, sore muscles and dissolve excess oil and
exfoliate dead skin cells. Noevir

non-greasy formula and minimizes dry flakes with jojoba oil and sage.
