Tips for Long Lasting Lip Color
|
Q: My lipstick never stays on very long...any
tips for putting on long lasting lipstick?
A: For
long-wearing precise, polished lipstick, stick to three fundamental steps when
applying lipstick.
Step 1: Prep Your Lips
Color will clump on dry skin, so
make sure you lips are smooth and hydrated. If your lips are flaky, lightly rub
a damp washcloth over them to exfoliate dead skin. Next, apply a
lip conditioner or eye cream. Whatever you use, apply sparingly. Too much
moisturizer will make lipstick separate and slide off.
Step 2: Get a Defined Line
A lip pencil creates a precise look
and stops color from bleeding. To apply, outline lips in sections. Start at an
outer corner, then run the pencil along the top of the lip to the bow in the
center. Do the same thing from the opposite corner, then repeat for the lower
lip. Next, blend the liner inward with a dry lip brush. To make color last, fill
in lips with liner before applying lipstick. Try Noevir
lip liner pencils with a long-lasting formula which glides on for a perfect
contour that won't feather or smudge, while vitamin E conditions the lips... can
also be used to color the entire lip surface.
Step 3: Add Color
Instead of putting on lipstick
straight from the tube, use a brush to coat lips accurately and deposit more
color. Then blot your mouth with the back of your hand--the heat will push the
color into your lips while removing any surface moisture. Finally, apply one
last coat of lipstick. Noevir's lipsticks provide a beautiful, sophisticated pearl finish in six great
shades. Nano jet milling technology provides a velvety texture and long-lasting
color, while specially-selected ingredients nourish and protect the lips.
