Q: What can I do for hair loss?
A: Thinning hair and
hair loss can be due to many factors. Postpartum hair loss often occurs in the
first few months after delivery due to falling hormone levels and the stress of
delivery and usually corrects itself as the hormone levels return to normal.
People often see significant hair loss 3 to 6 months after surgery (I had cancer
surgery and saw this for myself!) Also, people can see significant hair loss
after a traumatic or stressful event (marriage, death, school tests/finals,
divorce, etc.) Of course hair that is subjected to harsh treatment, like
repeated coloring and/or bleaching in quick succession, is fragile and likely to
break, which often is mistaken for hair that is falling out due to hormonal
reasons.
You may have to get a doctor's opinion of what is the cause of
your hair loss. He/she may take blood tests. If the blood tests reveal something
out of the normal range (such as low iron or thyroid levels), medications,
nutritional supplements, or other testing may be needed. Some hair loss is
genetic and your physician can suggest over-the-counter preparations or daily
multivitamin supplements which are also safe and helpful.
Stress is often a key cause of hair loss. Here is what
happens: The blood vessels constrict, depriving the hair follicles of the
oxygen, minerals, and vitamins they need for healthy hair growth. Vitamins are
depleted when you are under stress, because the body burns more energy and
directs nutrients and vitamins to those parts that need it for survival--like
the heart, lungs and brain. For that reason, and under those conditions, the
scalp will not get the benefit of these essential nutrients. To solve the
problem:
*Take Inner Care Radiance Nutritional Supplement.
Inner Care
Radiance is a unique and highly effective formulation
that directly addresses the health of the skin.
*Some women can experience hair loss because they are not getting
enough protein in their diets.
You should aim to eat protein like chicken, fish, lean meat,
beans, nuts and seeds, milk, yogurt, and cheese. It is also essential to take a
good daily multi-vitamin and B-complex vitamin. I would recommend
Inner Care Foundation
which contains multivitamins, multiminerals, and antioxidants derived from
fruits and vegetables to help supply the body with daily nutritional needs. And
I would recommend Inner Care Harmony with a balanced B vitamin complex,
including folic acid, to help restore and replenish electrolytes that are
depleted in times of stressful activities. This unique combination of
concentrated herbs, vitamins and minerals are designed to help the body
rediscover inner balance in periods of physical and mental stress.
