 Skin Care and Air Travel

Q. I am going on a 13-hour flight to Japan.  What can I do about keeping my skin hydrated?

A. It is really important to keep your skin hydrated.  The humidity in an airplane is about half of what your skin is used to on the ground.  After several hours of dry air, your skin is likely to become itchy, sallow, and generally dull.  Fight back by lavishing on a moisturizer before, during, and after the flight.  That may mean skipping the makeup.

Go easy on the alcohol.  A glass of wine on a long flight may be tempting, but alcohol speeds up dehydration.

Wash your hands. Planes can be a breeding ground for colds, and flu germs since the air in the cabin is recirculated. Be sure to wash hands frequently in-flight and follow-up with Noevir Herbal Hand Cream.

Keep the water bottle handy. Remember water flushes toxins out of the system. Drink lots and often. Water can reduce stress, improve mental clarity, boost the immune system, and prevent diseases. Water has the ability to improve your skin's condition immediately. For great skin, you need to guzzle water. Drink to your health with plenty of water!
